Austrian Leibfahne Standard

This example of an 1806 pattern leibfahne (the nearest English equivalent is a "King's Colour") has been preserved in the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum in Vienna. Each infantry regiment was issued one of these flags, which was carried by its first (Leib) battalion. The remaining battalions, and all Grenadier battalions, carried a yellow ordinärfahne instead.

Cavalry regiments were issued a leibstandarte of similar design which was carried by the first two-squadron division.
