Notes
This order of battle attempts to reconstruct those forces available to Eugène on the right bank of the Elbe on 5th April. It is constructed largely from later army lists, principally that of the 15th April 1813. Therefore some units shown here may not have been present on the 5th, or may not have crossed the river.
Only a fraction of these forces were actually engaged on the day: elements of the 18th, 35th and 3rd Light Cavalry Divisions. The remainder were deployed in defensive positions.
The cavalry were mainly the remnants of regiments sent to Russia. All were severely under strength, perhaps averaging about 120 men each. I've counted each regiment as a squadron above.
